Sussex Damp Experts did not operate as a single company. They ran four separate business entities — each with its own brand, its own website generating leads, its own team of surveyors and its own client base. From the outside, four distinct businesses. From the inside, one operation that needed to be managed centrally.

The challenge was not just managing jobs — it was pulling four separate lead streams, four separate surveyor teams and four separate sets of quotes and reports into a single management view. A lead coming through one website had no connection to the system managing jobs for another. Surveyors were being booked across companies with no central visibility of capacity. Management could not see the full picture without manually collating data from four different places.

No off-the-shelf CRM handled this structure. The solution had to be built from scratch — one platform that could hold all four companies, route leads correctly, manage surveyors across the group and give management a single consolidated view of the entire operation.

Professional, branded quotes generated in clicks. Pulled from the job record, pre-filled with survey findings, sent directly to the client and tracked for acceptance — all within the system.

Automated invoicing with Sage integration

When a quote is approved by the client, Runway generates the invoice automatically — pre-populated with the job details, pricing and client information from the quote. The invoice is then pushed directly to Sage accounting software via integration, eliminating manual data re-entry and keeping the accounts system current without anyone in the office touching it. Payment status feeds back into the job record.

Site plan builder

Surveyors build site plans directly inside the platform during or after the survey visit. No external tools, no emailing PDFs, no version control issues.
